Welcome to the Club: The Camera Roll Club eBook

So, I wrote a book.

eBook cover for The Camera Roll Club - a guide for parents on how to take better photos with their phone.

Writing an eBook had been sitting on my vision board for over a year, quietly waiting for me to stop overthinking and start building. So I did.

It’s an eBook for parents who’ve ever asked themselves,
“How do I take a good photo of my child on my phone?”

Because most of the time, it feels like guesswork. We hope for good light and wait for a good mood from our little people. We tap the screen and cross our fingers. And occasionally, we get lucky.

But better photos don’t have to rely on luck.

The Camera Roll Club invites parents to document their family life more intentionally: without stress, pressure, or perfection. My eBook is a guide that is about removing the guesswork and replacing it with small, intentional shifts – simple ways to take better everyday photos using the phone that’s already in your hand.

And perhaps that’s the real point.

Professional photography will always be something special. It’s an experience, a marker in time, sometimes even a luxury. It captures the milestones beautifully and intentionally.

But everyday life doesn’t wait for a booking.

It happens in baby sensory classes. In living rooms. On school runs. In the five quiet minutes before bedtime.

Those moments deserve care too.

The Camera Roll Club was created for that in-between space. For the parents who want their everyday photos to feel less like guesswork and more like something they’re proud to look back on.

Not perfect. Not posed. Just thoughtful and intetional.

Because everyone deserves to take photos that they genuinely love, not just because of who’s in them, but because the image itself feels considered and full of feeling.

What This eBook Is Not

As a London-based family photographer, I want to be clear about what this guide isn’t.

It is not an alternative to professional photography.

In fact, that hesitation is exactly why it took me so long to write my eBook. I worried that by teaching parents how to improve on taking photos with their phone, I might be suggesting they didn’t need professional images anymore.

That isn’t the case at all.

Professional photography captures the milestones and sometimes it’s simply about being in the frame with your family instead of behind your phone (because let’s face it, we spend a lot of time with those things!)

This book is about the everyday in between – the ordinary moments that quietly become the ones you treasure most.

It is not a technical manual.

You don’t need new equipment or complicated settings. You don’t need to keep up with trends or filters.

If your phone has a camera, you’re already equipped.

And it’s not about hacks or quick fixes, either. Chasing trends is exhausting.

This guide is about learning to use the tools you already have to take better photos of your child on your phone in a way that feels natural, intentional, and sustainable.

Because good photos taken on your phone isn’t about doing more.

It’s about noticing more.
